A Very Special Bead…
The Box Hydrangea Bloom is a very special bead because it has a perfect square shape with flowers on all 4 sides. Making flowers on all sides of the cube with a hole running through the bead is like solving a rubik cube. YOU will be soo proud of yourself! And, this bead has the potential to push your artistic boundaries even more by evolving into a number of very exciting possibilities.
For example, once you develop the box shape, you can change the type of flower you make in each of the square sides. Or, keeping the flower the same, you can change the color of each of the flowers.
By also making the beads in Tutorial 104, you can achieve a variety of shapes (round, cube, triangle) for your hydrangeas. Using the flat back hydrangea in the center, those beads would be gorgeous as a necklace.
At the end of this tutorial, I show you some example beads that I developed while exploring the possibilities of this cube bead. I would love to see how big you could make this type of hydrangea bead…
