I’m finally thinking glass lampwork beads and Fall colors!

Fall glass lampwork art beads? Hhhmmm. I don’t know about the rest of you but it’s been soo hot here in Texas, I had trouble thinking about anything else but trying to stay cool! Fall colors were the last thing on my mind. I was beginning to think summer would never end! But it’s finally cooled down this week to below 90 and I’m starting to have hope that summer is over!

I know I’m late but I started wondering about what’s hot (or should I say cool) for fall in color? And here’s the lineup according to Pantone …….

I’m loving the rich colorful yellows, pinks, oranges and purples. May have to do some mixing with my glass colors to get the perfect color!

Does anyone notice there isn’t any black? The coffee liqueur takes black’s place this fall. It’s all about “designers take a painterly approach to fall 2011 by artfully combining bright colors with staple neutrals, reminiscent of how an artist would construct a stunning work of art,”says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

Color wheel to create my Fall glass lampwork art beads

It’s time to take out your color wheels. I think understanding where these colors are on the color wheel will help you select other colors to coordinate your design. If you pick a color and follow it down the color wheel, you will find it’s complementary color (strongest contrast to that color) is also on the Fall list. Cool!
